Craftsman Oakland Kitchen

This cozy Craftsman home was transformed by the clean lines and natural elegant design. LMB Interior’s brought me in on this project, one of their longstanding favorites, and together we gave these down to earth and peaceful clients a beautiful dream kitchen.

We opened the space by eliminating a wall that used to divide the kitchen from the dining room. We added a concealed hood, housed inside of the ceiling to vent the stove while not taking away any lines of sight between the dining and living room.

The design is simple yet elegant with rift-sawn white oak flat panels with a mitered raised boarder. Every inch of grain flows continuously from one panel to the next. Skillfully crafted by Randall Wilson & Sons. Full paneled doors conceal the appliances making for a calming appearance. We removed three somewhat antiquated windows that were above the sink and replaced them with a large full-view awning picture window. We refinished the dark walnut oak floors throughout the house.

In essence, we created an inviting and clutter free space that allows these beautiful clients to enjoy their home to the fullest. Having spaces that are both tranquil and highly functional makes it easier to relax when you are at home.

This was a wonderful project, and I am immensely grateful that they trusted me enough to make their dream a reality.
